Our Clinic

Welcome to our purpose-built, state-of-the-art clinic, designed with both you and your pet in mind.
Combining functionality with comfort, we’ve created a warm and hospitable space that is fully-equipped with the latest in veterinary technology and tools. From our comfortable consult rooms (with calming pheromone diffusers and hidey-holes) to dedicated cat and dog wards, a sterile surgical suite, dedicated X-ray room and spacious treatment room, we have everything needed to deliver exceptional care in a calm, caring environment, to help your pet feel safe and secure. Our in-house laboratory also provides us with access to a range of testing procedures on-site, providing results within minutes.

Dr James Blaszak

Veterinarian/Owner 

Dr James has been a Port Melbourne local for more than a decade. With over 20 years’ experience, he has worked in a range of veterinary practices both in Australia and abroad.

While his passion is in providing personalised vet care in local practice, he also has extensive experience working in animal emergency centres and animal welfare hospitals. James enjoys the variety of work involved in being a veterinarian, and has a keen interest in surgery and dental care. He lives with his Border Terrier Walter, and likes swimming and spending time at the beach.

Dr Jill Teo

Veterinarian/Owner 

Dr Jill has worked in small animal clinics across Melbourne, and has experience in general practice and emergency care.

She is passionate about medicine, dermatology, and helping owners become confident advocates for their pets. Jill cares for every pet like a beloved family member, ensuring that they receive the best care possible. She lives with her husband, two young boys and their Cairn Terrier Pickles.

Trax Hanratty

Veterinary Nurse
Trax has always been surrounded by animals, growing up on a farm in Gippsland. Since moving to Melbourne, she has become a registered vet nurse, holding a Certificate IV in Vet Nursing and a Bachelor of Veterinary Bioscience.
 
She has a strong interest in all things surgical, enjoys continuing to develop her skills, and values the opportunity to lead and mentor junior vet nurses within the industry. She lives with her two dogs, Japanese Spitz Mushu and Border Collie Bear.
 

Monica Webber

Veterinary Nurse
Since beginning her veterinary nursing career in 2020, Monica has worked in small animal veterinary hospitals across Melbourne, including general practice, specialist, and emergency and critical care facilities. She holds a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing and has a strong passion for continued education and development, always striving to provide the best possible nursing care to her patients. With three rescue whippets of her own, Monica understands that pets are beloved family members and enjoys being an advocate for the animals in her care.  
 
Outside of the work, Monica thoroughly enjoys hiking and the outdoors, and regularly participates in trail running and marathon events.

Mel Lieberman

Receptionist
Mel began her journey in the animal care world working in a boarding kennel, followed by roles in animal welfare and dog grooming, before moving into veterinary reception.

With a genuine love for animals, Mel enjoys building relationships with pet owners just as much as the cuddles she sneaks from their furry companions.
She finds working as a veterinary receptionist incredibly rewarding, especially being able to help clients feel welcome and cared for from the moment they walk through the door.

Outside of work Mel enjoys tending to her jungle of indoor plants, reading, and spoiling her cat, Red Cliff, dog, Tinkerbell and goldfish, Luanne.

Veterinary Nurse

Zoey has been a qualified Veterinary Nurse since 2021, having worked in general practice and always enjoyed learning new things. Zoey is passionate about providing care to all patients and supporting both pets and their owners through every step of the process.

Zoey’s favourite part of being a veterinary nurse is the opportunity to make a positive difference in animals’ lives every day.

In her spare time, Zoey enjoys spending time outdoors, exercising, and quality time with family and friends. At home, she has a beautiful staffy named Lexie.
