Puppy & Kitten Check-Up
Welcoming a new kitten or puppy into your home is an exciting time, but it can also feel a little daunting at first. Our experienced team is here to help your newest family member settle in to their new environment with love and confidence. We’ll check that they’re fit and healthy, and guide you through everything from vaccinations and feeding, to worming, flea treatments, desexing, dental care, and more. We’re here to support you every step of the way, to make sure that your pet’s transition to their new home is as smooth and stress-free as possible.
Vaccination & Health Checks
Keeping your pet happy and healthy starts with regular check-ups. As part of our annual health checks, your pet will receive a thorough examination from nose to tail, including any blood tests or other diagnostics that are needed. We also offer a full range of vaccinations tailored to your pet’s specific needs, to keep them safe and protected year-round.
Senior Check-Up

Dentistry & Dental X-Ray

Desexing & Surgery
With the latest in patient-monitoring equipment, our purpose-built surgery suite provides the highest standard of surgical care for your pet and is designed with their safety and comfort in mind. From desexing to more advanced surgery, you can rest easy knowing that your pet is in safe and experienced hands. After surgery, we’ll guide you through each step of your pet’s personalised aftercare to help ensure a smooth and speedy recovery.
Advanced Orthopaedic Surgery
At Portside Vet Care we are able to provide care for advanced orthopaedic surgeries such as TPLO (tibial plateau levelling osteotomy) for cruciate ligament injuries, surgical correction for patella luxation (MLPs), and fracture repairs. We support you and your pet from diagnosis through surgery and the recovery process. Being able to perform these procedures in-house means your pet can stay with the veterinary team you already know and trust, helping to make what can be a stressful time a little easier for both of you.
X-Ray & Ultrasound
Our state-of-the-art digital radiography (DR) system provides the highest-quality X-ray images to accurately diagnose medical conditions and ensure prompt and appropriate treatment. We also offer full ultrasound services on-site, including abdominal ultrasounds and heart ultrasounds (echocardiograms).
Blood Testing & Pathology
When your pet isn’t feeling their best, getting answers quickly matters. That’s why we’ve partnered with IDEXX, Australia’s leading veterinary pathology service. With their advanced in-house equipment, we can run many blood tests right here at the clinic and have results within minutes. For more specialised testing, we’ll send samples to their expert lab team, who provide detailed reports to help us get a clear picture of your pet’s health. Fast, accurate answers mean we can start the right care plan sooner.
